Aries (March 20-April 19)
Change is the word of the hour; it's the word of the month; it's the word of the year, particularly as your most intimate bonds are concerned. The life process of people besides yourself is entirely out of your control, and we all know that out-of-control change is some of the scariest stuff going. Suddenly your own growth may seem to pale by comparison, particularly if it's the jumble of emotional crisis and confusion that it seems to be lately. None of this is for nothing. Surrender to what is so, speak the obvious, and feel the future rather than attempt to design it, and you'll see that you are at this very moment headed for some of the richest experiences of love and companionship of your life.
Taurus (April 19-May 20)
This is the moment of reckoning. What I will call your recent history has suddenly come to its culmination, even after so many rises and peaks and low depths that seemed so final and so real. By longer measure, all your life you have lived with a division within you. This split can and often is hidden by the way you can situate yourself entirely in one side of the split or the other, which feel like separate worlds. You do this with little consciousness of where you were before, and of what still exists within the 'other half' of you. While at times you are aware of this hemispheric effect, my sense is that you've felt you can do very little but shuttle between the two seemingly separate universes you contain. The truly rare gift of this moment, this moment now, is the ability to go back in time to the moment the division occurred. You may be able to contact a time when your world was one, before this hall of mirrors seemed so natural. And there, you can heal the division and be born as one.
Gemini (May 20-June 21)
You are not merely spectator to events so far beyond belief that you can neither comprehend nor express them. Rather, the fact that you are perceiving them at all suggests that you are their author, and at least, their host in the world. If they seem to be playing themselves out on a stage with you as spectator, work with the metaphor; stand back and observe. What we think of as life can at times suddenly feel like an abstraction of something much larger and more powerful, an expression of what some call Prime Source. Yes! Feel the connection, between you and it. Feel the power of the fertile, creative chaos to which you are directly connected right now. The life we live and the world we see are indeed Maya, illusion, secondary reality. But not the cosmos within you.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Imagine you have lived a thousand years, or a thousand centuries, preparing for something: something you're not quite sure what or when. Only why has been apparent, and only at times; the twists and turns of the world certainly do their part to assail and debase faith and dignity. But you have kept yours, and while the light has at times been dim, it has always been present. Now, imagine the world is expecting you; imagine that your true peers, people who have woven in and out of the story of your journey for many eons, are waiting to greet you, accept you back, and welcome you to your true identity.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23)
The Sun, your planet, is of course not really a planet; it's the center of our solar system and the core of the human psyche. Though it is the source of all life, perhaps strangely, it is one of the most easily influenced astrological factors. It takes on the color, the vibration, the feeling and the message of the planets and projects these energies out in all directions. When Venus makes an exact eclipse to the Sun on June 8, you will in essence become and embody Venus. This is like your cosmic debutante ball, and at the same time, it represents the promise of fulfillment of your very highest ideals. Focus on those now; think, speak and truly live what you want for yourself, for your loved ones and for the world.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
In Western culture only rarely do we seem to get beyond the equation "you are what you do." But how far from the truth is that? Yes, doing can exist on several levels, for example, as affirmation of what you know, or denial of it. You seem intent to make your reputation in the world and you are poised to succeed in a very big way. You have likely heard hints or seen glimpses of what is possible, and you may be wondering whether you deserve the recognition, the privilege and the authority that you feel coming. There is no question here. Remember what you've endured, stay close to the raw emotional vulnerability that unleashed your potential, and remember that you've managed to keep your faith up till the moment it needs you most.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23)
By now you know the power of your ideas, or at least their potential power. You may have even encountered experiences where it becomes fully apparent that you are an idea, and that you become the thought you invite into your heart. What few people know is that for as far back as you can remember, you've wrestled with an indescribable and utterly alien inner darkness, and spent many days and nights consumed with existential doubt. You know so much, and you also know how little you can do about certain facts of your own psyche. In your more clear moments, you see the benefits of this, and you know that through awareness you're undoing something that has dragged you down for what seems an eternity. If, by this time, you've yet to see the possibilities open, open the doors to your heart now. Open your eyes and look around, because a new world is dawning, and it is your world.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You have gotten a glimpse behind the veil, or at least what you might call the first veil. Your reality is arranged in layers and, much like an initiate going through a series of rituals to get into a Hermetic order, the mystery and sense of displacement may deepen as the weeks unfold. The less familiar your life feels, the better, because it's evidence that you are shedding the skins of personality to reveal something utterly new about you. There is a relationship involved in this process and what may appear in your life as an unusual depth of commitment from a truly significant other. If at this juncture you only see the possibility for a moment, have faith. Events of the next six months will play out more strangely -- and for you, more positively -- than anyone has yet suggested.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)
Astrology books do not usually wax poetic about how important deep, abiding love is to Sagittarians, who are more often than not portrayed more like sovereign island nations than people. To the extent that's true, you're about to go through a series of life-altering experiences that, as best can be done in this world, teach you the meaning of love. You will, at least, see what was in the way, and look right exactly at what that concealed. This experience appears to demonstrate that there may be someone in the world you consider far more important to you than even yourself. And you will -- if you are paying attention -- get the vivid message that this is impossible. What emerges is an experience even more beautiful: proof that you and someone you care about profoundly are genuinely equal beings.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
Mighty lessons of relationship abound in the world right now, and you are not the only one going through huge changes. Ask around. Or maybe you don't need to; you may have become the local therapist, thinking it's positively absurd that people are investing so much faith in you when your own life is so unpredictable and unstable. But it's all part of the same process. You are getting to know yourself. That is what this is all about. Your direct experiences, your influence on the ones closest to you, and what you learn when others confide in you, all are contributing to what amounts to a massive self-study project. You cannot change what you do not know, and from the look of things, you're learning a lot.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
Aquarius is probably the biggest dreamer of the zodiac, that is, if you make a quotient between dreams and action. There is a conservative streak in you that makes it very difficult for you to take chances, and even when you do, there is a degree of self-clinging and ambivalence that can really paralyze you. The better astrology books point out that Aquarius is a fixed sign and ruled by Saturn, the lord of stability. You now seem, however, truly willing and more than ready to do something different, rather than just think something different. You know it is time, because it is in fact time. Rare is the Aquarian who can actually do something so bold as you are planning, and I am taking a chance making this statement generally, but then you are one of the Planet Waves Aquarian flock. Kid, don't waste your time waiting. But you knew that.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
No matter what you have accomplished in the past few months, or however long you have come, no matter how far you have gone, or what you count as your victories, and also your lessons learned from the occasional defeat, consider this. You have not yet crossed anything resembling the whole distance of this particular and rather clearly defined stage in your life. But you certainly do have momentum and you are learning the ways of the road. And you seem to be grasping that the journey is more important than the destination. You seem to understand that you are already there. Imagine, just for a moment, just how good you will feel when life begins to live up to a few of the possibilities that your experience, age and wisdom have deemed real, but which have seemed so elusive for so long. As A Course in Miracles says, you do not ask too much of life, but rather far too little.
